here is my guess to as why BB did this, FM will forever be the best pop building in the game and they want players to struggle to get the ultimate end game pop building and or pay for them (significantly). not saying i agree with them but i do understand why they would do this.

And they were sleeping when they made Master Architect Boxes (with FMs) available during Christmas of 2013.
When they woke up.. they decided not to repeat it for 2014.. but the damage has already been done..
i.e. lots of folks getting the feeling of being poor and left out, because they don't have these insanely expensive FMs in 100s, just like their other lv 50 friend.

yeah, they realized they made a mistake i think (just like with gem packs during halloween a few years back)- and yea, the ppl who didnt take advantage of them then, will forever miss out

In theory the end game concept makes sense. I wonder if it really works that way in practice. If I know I can do something once a week for a year and only be successful one time, I'm not going to bother at all rather than trying harder and striving for that ultimate end goal. You'd think there would be some compromise between too much and nearly nothing.

Jokes apart.. I agree.. it doesn't have to be this dire a situation, should one want to get one or two FM in their lifetime playing nords and nords 2.
it's not like it will explode their population.. but will surely make them (players) happy, and feel lucky

Well then I could have both expedition troops made and regular troops at the same time. As it is I killed off almost all my regular troops to stockpile Expedition troops so I could try out the leveling

im surprised you still have the stamina for all of that Artillerist, i have 39,590/39,590 pop and i havent ran an adventure in about 8 months lol

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'm going to build up my population. And then stop adventuring.
