Never happened to me when attacking a boss, but it happened against a regular camp and I had to attack the next camp to be intercepted ...
Which sucks big time , because your Marshall will be intercepted and will kill the camp, but you don't have enough time to retreat and will die attacking the intended camp
If you send a 2nd attack at the intended camp right after sending the attack that you want to get intercepted, your intercepted Marshal will go on to the intended camp but won't get killed. Cost troops but saves a Marshal and/or medi-pack. Depends on how the camps are laid out, of course. So far this trick has worked well for me tho.
Huge bummer about the boss camp. Hasn't happened to me yet, but has happened to a friend.

I've had this problem happen multiple times so far on normal bandit camps and zone leaders twice. If it helps to fix the problem faster in all cases the camp was overlapping another camp- or trees like you see in Evil_J's picture and that's what was making it impossible to target it directly.
Lots of buggy PvP maps and camps and bosses... The Rare Boss "Drak the Devourer" (he looks like the Bear Boss in the Clever Little Tailor adventure) seems to be the buggiest for me so far... I have seen numerous camps that cannot be targeted and even buggy camp locations appearing/disappearing when setting up Defenses on conquered Colonies.
The most costly camp bug seems to occur on Mixed camps that skip or lag-out of the normal combat order which results in excessive troop loss or even defeat of the Marshall and his troops regardless of how well you babysit these bugged camps... There appears to be no solution other than suffer through this occurrence when it happens and hope that it doesn't cost you the successful capture of the Colony, and/or lost of wasted troops, resources, and time...
oh one more to the list, or maybe im just that efficient
I have the same problem as Evil_J on the same map. Seems like the have not fixed it. Will this be fixed and what about the waste of troops and time?
