considering that the islands really don't give you that much more room, it's going to be a challenge to get a stable economy with them

Just noticing that too. Once cleared, not many spots are free, and of those, the new buildings will occupy most of them...

i was able to move an entire recycling chain to the left island... a ton of houses to the middle islands... i found there was a lots of room... maybe not for something as particular as a farm set up .. but many other chains are easy to place there.

There is more room on the new islands than I previously thought. There are 225 building spots available. This should be plenty of room for the new buildings for the new production chains as well as new space for extra population buildings.
Does anyone know anything about the new Manor that will be available at level 71?

No, not yet! We wait in eager anticipation. Seems the Frozen Manor is done; less the .5% chance in IOTN loot.

I doubt it can replace frozen manor.
residence start at 10, noble residence 30. floating resident 40. manor probably start at 50~60. lvl 6 make it 100~110. and it need license.
there could be new better population building, but most likely still low drop rate in alibaba.

I am trying to save up my gems for whenever this patch/upgrade comes to the live servers. I have almost 20k gems and 4 gem pits. One is currently at about 2800 and another is about 3500. So I will likely need to save 20k gems to replace one of them..

But as others mentioned, moving buildings to the new islands, to free up space on the main area, is always an option.. Question will be, where will all the new mines and trees be located? Because if the Mahogany trees are only available on the new islands, and not the mainland, guess your options for cutters are obvious, but can always have foresters located on mainland.

Moving buildings could get a little pricey when you stop and think how many Noble Residences one owns. I own 16 that take BL's and another 25 that are deeds (I have other pop buildings too, like FMs and Pirate Residences), Whether taking them down, or just rebuilding them, it'll take a good bit of resources and gold coins.

Best thing I can suggest is, start trying to stockpile some resources for when it is all added. Bread to make population (could also use them to stockpile population in star menu to save the time and PH timer later on), Bronze Swords for Recruit fodder, Brew to make all sorts of troops, Bows/Longbows, Iron, Steel, Hardwood logs/planks, Marble, etc. All the new buildings are going to very likely require the older building materials, for at least the first 2-3 levels. If after the patch goes live, and you have way more resources than you need, you can very likely sell it at a premium to those that didn't stockpile (help supplement your buying of grout at a premium price LOL).

Just keep your eyes and ears open, and start to get prepared for the patch/upgrade (whatever you want to call it) takes place. Do your research!!

If you are a part of a good guild, try to make a plan of action, such as: If you are going to sell any resources, lootspots, etc., give your guildies the chance to purchase before attempting to sell it on the open market.
