New user. Can't load game

Hi all,

I am a new user. I made an account and when I click 'Play now', the background picture just shows and nothing loads. Am I missing something?

I am using the Steam version, on Debian.

• If you have Chromium installed: open the options menu (on the right side of the Settlers Online start menu) and change the plugin setting to "Google Chrome Flash plugin”.
• If you only have Adobe Flash Player installed: open the options menu (on the right side of the Settlers Online start menu) and change the plugin setting to “Adobe Flash Player plugin”.

I click on the options, but the only options I get are the zoom level and the background picture. Nothing for plugins. Should I re-install?

A player shared a workaround with us, please try it and let us know if it worked.

Linux: Flash x86 on x64 system workaround

1. Download Flash x86 (no matter the distribution. We only need PPAPI Flash for x86). Both file flashplayerplugin.so and manifest.

2. Go to game dir and find file package.json.
- edit it with any text editor like kwrite or gedit.
- find --ppapi-flash-path='/opt/Google/Chrome/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so' --ppapi-flash-version=18.0.0.233"
- change path to path where you pasted your x86 Flash.

Save the changes and run the game.
