Asiastrings, wiki.eu - hope some non-block guides forthcoming for new advs?

I do not use blocks on adventures so I rely on Asiastrings guides and wiki.eu page when I do adventures. These guides provide both Block and non-Block options unlike the others. Kudos to them and I hope they continue doing so for the new adventures!

Agreed. I shy away from blocks because the lag-snags and refreshes, though not frequent for me, are still too much of a hazard.

Most blocks are safe even with (massive) lag....then of course, if you don't really block in the first place and aren't familiar with the blocks, you wouldn't know better I guess....

Rather tight blocks are _usually_ indicated in guides, not a guarantee of course. Your internet dropping would worry me more than lag tbh

That is one good thing about the test server. You can practice blocking.
    One army. Pretty please.

Most blocks are safe, although whenever you use more than one block things get tighter and tighter with each. 2x blocks can get hazy a bit where 3x blocks are usually very thin on timer. The game is not performing as good as it can and if you top this with 200+ ping (simply cause the servers are physically in Europe) there is nothing you can do except watching your block ending before your final attacks finishes off.

I lost hundreds of ES on my SA runs to get to 50 and finally ended up clearing the "risky" blocks and doing no more the 2x each time. Cost some extra R but there was no more pricey ES losses. All my adventures now are done without blocking, I don't have the time, patience or desire to do elaborate stuff that might save me few hundreds R but might cost me a couple of hundreds ES. It is just not worth it. Not to mention most adventures are really not worth doing these days anyway since the loot nerf .. I mean "adjustment"...

Hoping for some smart testers to come up with simplified versions of Ali's chain so we can roll it over and over (which is exactly what is going to happen) without much fuss and tedious planning. If not, that's ok I will run the simulator and find out my own optimum setup. Just like I do RB now, short run no blocking, only 4 troops switches on generals. Cost me some more R than with blocks but so what? I got one headache free run every 2 days and I am good.

Ditto.. Done plenty of blocks... was amazed how the internet connection would decide to drop just at the right (wrong) moment..
Getting back seems like taking forever.. Never had a problem with lag though.
