Halloween 2015 - Merchant Shop

Just a look at the merchant offerings currently shown on the test server for Halloween 2015. Please remember that this is from the test server, and may change prior to reaching the live servers.



The first group of item are the pumpkin cemeteries that are available for placement on the island, that provide pumpkins. Further information regarding these will be available in other posts. As shown, players can purchase three of each type, and the cost is in game resources.







The next group of items are gem items for purchasing pumpkins and gift boxes, with the prices shown. There are no limits listed.







Other items are special items, with individual limits. There are some new offerings this year, specifically the Lord Dracul general, the Conscientious Geologist, and the Improved Farm.







Other items are returning from last year, such as the grim reaper and village schools





The fish farms, regular silos, improved storehouses are also available this year, with a limit of 3 each. These items are identical to the normal shop offerings except they can be purchased using pumpkins.

The last group of items are unlimited purchases, including resources, buffs, refills, and decorations. New this year is a barracks buff, Nash Williams. Grout is also shown as available in the shop.







More information should be published soon, including the upcoming Sneak Peaks and Developer's Diary. Other information regarding the event quests should be coming soon as well. Please remember that the information here and on the test server may change prior to release on the test server and make game decisions accordingly.

It would be really helpful if one of the bigger generals (MMA, Vet) could be made available for pumpkins, or allow pumpkins to be convertible to gems. The Grim Reaper and Lord Dracul are nice, but they are no better than a BH gen.

If he were fast and could find two deposits that both take into account his books or a double of one deposit, I would see the potential in the geologist, but I'm not seeing what this guy brings to the table.

Again, this is an old discussion. For those who started at the end of or after the Easter event, the summer whatever-it-was, was a non-event. That isn't meant as a whine, just a statement of reality. Event resources come from events, the largess of high level players, or trades. No event = no event resources = nothing to convert for the summer thing. Those who have been playing for 6 months or less have not had the time to build up the gems for the stuff we need, hence the reason all of us who have started since April were pinning a great deal of hope on the Halloween event. The upcoming event looks great, but I and others just wish there was a chance to get a good general or trade event resources for gems.

I hear you - but in the last 2 Halloweens that I have been part of, the only general available was the Grimm (BHG with 'fluff'). It is Christmas and Easter that are the normal events where other Specialists are available (Geos, Explorers and Generals [idgaf if they ever offer Marshalls... but that is another story]). I hope for the sake of all you newer players, that BB breaks trend. As you probably have figured out by now, purchase (using event resources - not gems) all of the offered specialists. It is unlikely that there will be another event like this Summer where people with 'resources' can take advantage of missing an item.

So for this new geologist, you are potentially getting 2 deposits at once. What happens when you add the skills that allow the possibility of 2 deposits at once? Does this mean he will possibly find 3 deposits at once or just a greater chance of 2 deposits at once?
