How to explore the new sectors offshore ?

I took about a month or more off from playing and when I logged in today the were new sectors in clouded areas around my island in what seem to be offshore islands. I tried to send my Explorer to check out these new areas but it keeps saying he failed and there are no sectors connecting to my island. So how do you get to these new areas ?

Once you hit level 50 you will have a quest chain. Pretty much send out explorer to find them. This can be done 3 times initially. As a reward for this you will get a deed. Select the deed, you can only use it on one sector that will be highlighted, and place it. After that place an island storehouse from the elite building menu. After that completes move a general over and go to town.

After you defeat all the enemies in a sector you can search for the next one. You do not have to claim the sector with a deed to find and start attacking the next. To claim the sector you need to buy a sector deed from the black market tab in the merchant. It is expensive. The island deeds are for the left, right, and upper most sectors that are gem only. The sector deeds are for the rest. You cannot use the wrong deed in the wrong sector.
