Yep, if you do kill golem on your friend island you are screwing him/her out of the achievement. The owner of the golem (that you kill) will not get credit in his/her achievement for "killing 5 golems" of each type.
Huge overlook on BB part. Few of out guildies will not get that achievement, cause somebody killed theirs without asking. Honestly I think it should go toward your achievement no matter who kills it.

Only 2 golems have been killed on my Island, one by me the other by a guildie. I have credit for both in my achievement list. So maybe your's is a glitch?
I have told my guild stop 1 short. The friend will easily get their water and you will get your kills.

I wasn't sure what negative consequence there might be, so I have only been doing partial kills.
I had my wife, (who is also a guildmate) kill my golem this morning and after the quest complete came up, it registered as a kill for my achievement. Before quest complete came up, it didn't show as a kill. I then killed her golem, and it also registered correctly as a kill toward her achievement. So for us, it's working correctly but if you check your achievement right away before clicking quest complete it will look as if it's not working.

the acheive worked for me -- friend killed one - i killed one - it shows 2 at that point
just did a golem kill swap, counted for my achievement to kill golems, and complete my daily quest to kill it
This is probably the best solution, since the achievement for visitors is only to apply 50 of each of the waters, and not to necessarily kill the golem. Just apply less than total on multiple friends/guildy islands until you reach 50.Originally Posted by SweaterPuppies
