So I bought 3 improved farms, built them and began upgrading them. I already had a few improved silos, so bought 1 more to match the third farm, built it and began upgrading it as well. All are at level 4 and on the way to level 5.
This morning in guild chat, someone was saying that the improved farm only uses 1 wheat no matter what the level. I checked the details screen on a farm and sure enough, it says 1:4. I'm not sure if this is a feature or a bug and have submitted a ticket in an attempt to find out how it's supposed to work.
If I've wasted gems and resources purchasing and upgrading an improved silo to match an improved farm, I suppose it's my own fault for not checking the details more closely before doing so. On the other hand, it appears that the feature of an improved farm is the faster time, the same as an improved silo. If it's intended that the farm only use one wheat from a field no matter what level it is, it would have been nice to have that fact made perfectly clear.
At any rate, I love the new farms and hope we can get more of them after the event. But I sure won't be spending any more gems on improved silos till I can get an answer from BB on how the farms and silos are intended to work together.
