Sadly the Santa Claus specialist is NOT an explorer that brings back presents like the Lucky explorer.

Turns out he is just another transporting specialist. 3hours to return? Yikes. 2minutes to transport? Considering that he will arrive with the troops before your generals can, he's kind of useless.


Would be better if you made him an explorer.


The other Icon we saw was Krampus in the preview. Turns out he is not a specialist at all. Just a buff.



And last but not least. The watermill is tradable. Another epic fail imo.

Time to replace those old watermills then.



From test server forum, people saying the Xmas surprise box has a gingerbread house. 115 pop. Drop rate is terrible.
100 opens and not a single drop. nor frozen manor.

The cost of this box is just way too high. 350. Compared to 2 Xmas ago, it used to be 90gems.

Not to mention the awful drop rate.

Back in the days. FM was 1 out of 10 openings almost. Or less. Now out of a 100 you don't see any. And the cost is just so insanely high.

They also need to have a recycle mechanics some way to dispose of or trade in these worthless decorations.

I guess I can use Quartermaster Claus, though there's not much point for him to travel to zone in 2 minutes if it takes him 3 hours to get back.

Multi-building buffs look potentially interesting. I'll be able to make at least some use of that.

New watermill is so superior to the regular watermill that there's not much point for the original any more, which was underpowered and oddly shaped anyway.

I just assumed that grout would be in the event again this year.

The event window says that grout will be available, though it's not in merchant. Hopefully it's the merchant that's wrong.

the QM claus is going to be nice to keep on home island on stand-by for the failed block. the no grout issue will probably be resolved by the next version. I hope they do something with the boxes or they will just sit in BB warehouses unbought and sad

The Improved Watermills may be nice, but I doubt I'd ever bring myself to tear down lvl 5 regular watermills for them, especially since I placed a few things based on their odd shape. Really I only need 1 ImpWat to cover future expansion ideas.

My thoughts exactly..
And can't wait for "Improved everything" as time goes by.. like Improved Wood Cutter, Improved Weaponsmith, Improved Mason etc.........
And.. sell your Frozen Manor, before Improved Frozen Manors are announced...

Every year - I ask for a Santa Explorer as a suggestion and BB never puts out Santa the explorer. Theme wise it's cool cuz he brings back presents. If he was a lucky explorer its just as cool for him to bring back buffs.

100 boxes: useless deco, 11 silos, 5 ish, 3 gingerbread house, 1 arctic iron mine - not worth it at all

3 Gingerbread Houses? You did great. The frozen manor and improved silo are in there as well.
