    Venting on Boxes

I don't know about anyone else but I use to buy gems just so I could open the boxes for a chance at an Angel Gate, Frozen Manor, Bone Church etc. BB ruined the boxes for me by taking the decent things out of them. How many of you agree with me? GIVE THEM BACK!

What is in them now? Never been a fan, in any case, but...

Was the Angel Gate or Bone Church ever in a box? By the way, the Frozen Manor is in the upcoming Christmas Box.

bone church was in the Paula's surprise box, and this years box is expensive and chances of getting your gems worth from them is low

It's pretty interesting. They essentially make the boxes so bad for every event that it's a complete waste of time. I can't imagine that makes them any money. I just don't understand it. Every single one of the gem items in there are at such bad odds that you are much better off just buying the item for the gems it costs in the merchant. And things like manors or the gingerbread at house are offered somewhere around 1% or worse. It's just silly. They don't need to go full on Xmas 2013 here. But atleast make them worthwhile And make them giftable again. The strategy right now just seems to be catching people at the beginning of events who have no idea how awful the boxes are. It seems like they'd make more money by actually making the boxes worth buying.

I have to agree with Methius about the catching of the newer players to buy the boxes. They are not worth the time and effort as they are right now. I have to wonder how many boxes it took to get the Frozen manor at the test site for the up coming Christmas event. At one time you could stand a good chance at getting something in Paula's surprise box and even the first Christmas event that the Frozen Manor was in the boxes. It would make better business sense to offer something that would induce the players that have shown that they are in the game for the long haul and are willing to spend money on the gems, into buying the boxes. But the people that seem to run BB have not shown to me at least, that they have that kind of sense.

Well I find it interesting that the new focus on BB's part is to make money off of the game, and again clearly they could if they made the boxes more interesting to the players, but they haven't done that. Now my higher education wasn't in business but still I don't see the sense in offering a useless item like the surprise box. Offering it indicates that they want us to buy it; but anyone with any sense surely can see it isn't worth it as it stands. What is BB giving away when they put things in the boxes that the players want anyway? A few pixels on the game map? Seems to me that if they offered items we wanted we would buy them, and if we bought them they would in turn make money. That would be a win win for the company and the players. I say BB get smart and add something to the boxes that we want.
