Why?
This is as senseless as the Daily quest to upgrade a hunter. I know it is not expensive. I know it is not difficult. But I like how my island is arranged. If I move a hunter then move it back would that complete the task? I will never know.

So ... after the latest update, it looks like guild quests roll over at 7pm eastern time in the US, or 4pm west coast? What an odd choice. Why on earth can BB not figure out local time (at least for the SERVER) and thus has to tie everything to GMT?
i would like to protest having to pay cannons for guild quest completion
Thanks Eriond for providing me an opportunity to gloat a little.
I seem to remember back in November one particularly savvy (not to mention devastatingly handsome) poster had this to say :
So let me strain my own arm patting myself on the back and saying.... "looks like I called it".
Our guild has members mostly in the US and Canada, but we also have single members in Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, the UK and one guy somewhere in the middle east. Since any server and/or guild can have members in any country/timezone worldwide maybe BB's logic is that timezones just don't matter that much so why not do the easy programming of a one time cutoff for everybody based on GMT. Who knows. But I fully expected this to be the way it was ultimately gonna be scheduled.
This was suggested a few pages back and it has it's merits.
Yep,agree, agree, agree. If we're going to be stuck with an odd time of day, then have that odd time be on a 36 hour rotation so that it's more equitable worldwide. This is an excellent idea TboneX.
And last but not least, addressing a response to my post in November:
Yeah?... You still think so?![]()

Guild quests seem to have gone off the deep end. Way to expensive donations, and the time shifting for completion, bad, very bad.

The way I read it was that I was unaware that members of my guild were in different time zones, some half a world away, and I was unaware of this and how it would affect the completion of a guild quest with a 24 hour time limit. Moving the reset 2 hours earlier has little affect on the guild I am in.
The biggest problem I see with the level 51+ guild quests are the majority of the ones that I have seen, and other have posted, have us "produce X amount of Y resources." I could be wrong, but I do not recall a single guild quest that asked something like that before. Since there is no mechanic in place to start counting while you are offline this is a giant brick wall. There are also a few crazy new guild quests as well like running Valiant Little Tailor or Young Woodcutter, but crazy guild quests have always been around. If my guild leader wishes to kick me for not using all of those resources for the maximum of 102 guild coins {more likely 30-40} I stand to get, I will not lose sleep over it.
I like the 24 hour reset. My guild is pretty much dead and I do not pretend to know how it affects more active guilds. I know that we get a lot less guild coins than we used to, so that sucks.
