Now that the Guild Quest completion timer is working properly, I really like the new Guild QUest system, much better than the old one. THanks BB!

GUILD QUESTS for level 50 & higher

ok first, pay granite. not TOO hurtful, as granite can at least be earned pretty easily in the game, even though it's going for a crazy amount in the TO, and the amount we were supposed to pay could have bought us more guild coins than we would have earned.
next pay GROUT. GROUT. seriously. i saw 200 grout buy a MAGNIFICENT RESIDENCE not too long ago, now u want us to pay it for a few measly guild coins? forget that. it costs too much, and it's waaay too hard to get to just toss down the drain.
now beans? beans, which some of us have a plethora of, but a lot of people who are just leveling can't afford to pay beans.

If the things that we 'paid' went into a guild bank, so it was there for those who needed it? then i'd be willing. but since no such object exists in the game anymore (i think i heard it once was and was scrapped, but i know there's plenty of suggestions for one)....so hey guys. think about that for a sec please

I don't know what else is coming but I'm not impressed. i think i've done 2 out of the last week's guild quests.

BTW. as a guild leader, I do LOVE the new system, resetting every 24 hrs, only those who do it get coins ( i hated the freeloaders before), it's great, and i'm glad it's been changed. I just think that the people who are creating the quests need to do a little IN GAME research and check what things are going for in the Trade office. if what i'm paying out is gonna cost more than buying the guild coins i'm gonna get? it's not going to happen. and i'd rather give my lower level guildies the guild coins they didn't get because I didn't do my gq, rather than pay out resources that i just cannot afford or just plain do not want to get rid of.

I am in agreement that the prices we have had to pay in the new system are grossly unfair... Granite is easy enough to get to toss maybe 50 or 100 a week at a guild quest but, any more than that in a week becomes ludicrous (I need many hundred thousand granite). Grout is ridiculous since it doesn't drop on any adventure that I can run and only comes from events in any serious supply. Beans are okay since I am running lots of fairytale adventures but I agree with Fyrione that not everyone can afford to waste them on a guild quest on any basis.
I too love the lack of guild coins for anyone who doesn't complete it but make it possible to get a full guild of active players getting the quests done... come on.

I certainly can't afford to pay beans or grout and the granite hurts but it can be done, I certainly can't pay platinum as I'm not that high a level. I had to borrow platinum ore from a fellow guild member to do that quest. I also think a new quest every 24 hours is to many. It certainly hurt to pay 75 granite one day and then the very next day it was pay another 100 granite. Also I have a job, and sometimes when I get home the quest only has a couple of hours left, and I do want to do them so we can all get more guild coins, but if it's a produce 200 titianium bars, I don't have enough time to make them before the quest is over.

I didn't even go into the time constraints on some of the quests. that is an excellent point davivo!

does bb keep track of how many people do each quest? can they get rid of any quest that less than 5-10% of the people do? or maybe even allow us to suggest quests? how about find and highlight 3 collectibles on a friends island... etc.
also, any quests that require a certain adventure, allow it to be purchased with map pieces... (looking at you pirates bay)

the thing i like about the new guild quest is- Yes some of the quest are not worth doing for certain lvl players, but some of the quests in the previous system were not worth doing either; The only difference is- the players who cant afford to do the GQ now, or dont want to waste resources because it is too expensive, are not hurting the lower members or members with worthy doing GQs by not doing the GQ; The GQ finishes every 24hrs which in comparison to the prior system- you had to wait 24hrs (from start of the GQ) to get a 2nd GQ if you cancelled the first one.
For the players who are running advs for experience to level- maybe need to check themselves and start doing resource advs. You Nords/SA babies with little resources- i am talking to you. The higher level you are, the harder quest you will get- it is like that for most games, if not all.
Lots of RAbble RABBLE RABBLE in this thread and not a lot of sense being put into negative posts.

I don't find the game to be as much fun now. We used to work together as a guild to help each other finish quests, not it's usually not possible because we aren't all in the same time zone and not all on at the same time. By the time we see the help request, it's too late for some to help others. And most of the quests are so resources and time consuming that we are all going broke and have no time to interact. Bottom line, this rework really took a lot of fun out of the game and a lot of players barely log on now. I certainly don't feel the game's pull to be very strong now. If I have time to play, fine. If not, meh, all I'm doing is island maintenance and seeing if I have a chance at the gq, so it's not a big deal if I don't do more than log in for the daily credit. Maybe it's different on Zeus, but it's been pretty much a game killer on Ares as far as I can see. Chat, especially trade chat, is almost dead. It's really kinda sad. And quiet.

old system worked a lot better for me.. I got more guild coins from the witch every couple weeks then I have from this system so far.. lol.. 1 rarity explorer will bring in more guild coins than doing the guild quest at this point..

I'm glad to hear that this system is working out for some of you guys.. lol.. I'll need somebody to buy them off of

..but it is interesting to me that the people who I assumed were already getting the most guild coins with the old system.. are the only ones benefiting from this new system... I could be wrong though.. just an outside observation
