From what I read on the UK forums and the numbers I crunched when the information was made available, there are some characteristics of guilds that have some people doing better or worse with the new system. If the guild in question is generally made of active players and completed the guild quests daily (more or less), then the same level of quest completion gives a bit more guild coins to the player that completes regularly. If there was an imbalance of inactive players, there is a drop in the reward.

Since all levels of the guild now get the same guild coins for overall completion, I am using the highest level tier for comparison. For the largest guild tier, 99 people, there needs to be a completion of 44 people to get the equivalent reward; on the low end of 56 members, the completion level is 34 people. Here is the table I worked out for overall comparison:

    total #_____new reward_____old reward______% to obtain________# to obtain
    10____________75_____________70_____________93%___ ____________9
    20___________115_____________70_____________63%___ ___________12
    21___________118_____________77_____________65%___ ___________14
    35___________153_____________77_____________50%___ ___________18
    36___________155_____________91_____________59%___ ___________21
    55___________193_____________91_____________47%___ ___________26
    56___________194____________119_____________61%___ ___________34
    99___________263____________119_____________45%___ ___________45

There is a discontinuity at the transition for each stage in the previous group, so the guilds near the bottom of the tier need proportionally more people to complete the quest. However, this can also be looked at as the guilds near the top of the tier were previously getting penalized. Given that the completion rate before was 80%, there has been a significant drop in the completion rate for the same return.

There really are two separate issues, the new system of reward and the quest requirements. They are difficult to separate, because the quest requirements directly affect the completion rate. The new system does favor active player groups and does seem to penalize the guilds under 15 members compared to the old system. It removed some fairness issues, as some guilds have taken advantage of the inactive/active discrepancy to gain more coins.

As for the quest requirements, I will just repeat mu previous position. It should have been expected that the overall difficulty of the quests for players over level 50 increase once quests were made for them. What should not have increased is the relative difficulty of the quests. There also needs to be some decision made about where to set the playing requirements for people to reasonably complete the quests, and make sure that the new ones are in line with the older ones. And since the amount of coins returned has gone up, players who completed every day before will have to look at what they actually need to do to get the same amount of guild coins. Unfortunately, that number will change based on several guild characteristics.

Nice job on the table Aurboth. Thanks!

On the old GQ system around 30 people consistently were done within the 1st 24 hours and we waited anywhere from 12 to 48 hours for the stragglers to finish. What I see happening with my guild is about what I expected to see. We're averaging around 30 people done in 24 hours just like before, and are getting about 90 coins per day on the new system. In the long run I'm getting more coins than with the previous system.

As far as tasks go, from my perspective at level 57 things aren't so bad. Not sure how it is for lower levels at this point. Most of the tasks for my level have been simple and not outrageously expensive. What I do see as a problem is someone at level 51 may not have the platinum ore necessary, but that's why we're in a guild, to help each other out. I hardly do Ali Baba adventures and already have around 200K platinum, so have plenty to share. I wish I knew what the lower level tasks were. It's easy for me to be saying things are pretty good when not seeing the total picture for all levels. I wish BB would publish a master list of all GQ's detailing the tasks for each one for all levels.

Again, thanks for the table. It's an interesting perspective.

I like the new GQ system as a whole. I do however think it's really aggravating that if I don't get a chance to log in and click a meaningless checkmark after producing the required items that I don't get credit for having done the quest. It should auto-complete once you've fulfilled its requirements, whether or not you're online. One challenge for implementation would be for when you have to produce something and also to pay something; easy fix would be to have a separate checkmark so you could pay whatever it is regardless of whether you'd already produced whatever else it is. Then once your production chains do their thing, GQ auto-completes.

Yes - I thoroughly agree, this new system is the bomb (in a good way) - also, that double click has been a problem a long tie. I know a lot of guildies who had done their quest, but did not provide the requisite 2nd click and the gq went on a couple of extra days.

I must say after playing with these new guild quests for a while, they are way better and more fun then the old ones... just saying. Great improvement.

Who came with the idea to jump the price of completing the gq with gems to 107? Before I myself used few times gems to be done with some gq (since we get 100 gems per 7 days login). Now?

You BB guys seriously have some issues with gems. Nobody in the right mind will pay 100 gems for completing a gq on 24 hrs cycle...

Agree completely with some suggestions. If you don't want to implement auto complete features for gq than at least start counting the production quests (produce 2000 paper etc) when quest goes active and not when I log in. I love to log in the game and find out I have 4 hrs to make 1000 exo planks...yep let me catch up on this by completing the quest with gems... Numb nuts.

You really need to rework the GQ. the requirements for some vs. payout are just ridiculous. Many many people are complaining about in the chat. Please take a look at what you're requiring vs. payouts

My colleague BB_BobMoriarty discussed this topic in his Dev Blog. You can find the post here.

I have a huge issue with guild quest require amount

Paying 100 book fitting, I don't have problem with that. Now I have to produce 750 advanced paper.

It's 11 min produce time items so take into account move from storage and back. It take om average 12 min to produce 1 advanced paper with level 1 Advanced paper mill.

In order to complete this quest in 24h period, you need

750/24/5 = 6.25 paper per produce circle. So which mean you are asking a level 6 or combine to from level 6 to achieve that quest. The problem is you don't use those paper that much. The only thing that cost advanced paper is : codex and it only cost like 400 papers . Due to requirement, you can only produce codex per 3 days or so ( since you have to make manuscript and tomb)

I think this quest requirement is too high. It's not the only quest. There are a bunch of quest like that
