I can't rename my Quartermaster Claus. Should I be able to? I can edit his name in the text field, but it reverts to the default when I click on the green checkmark.

It's still the same as every event, three weeks of actively getting event items, then that phase finishes and the shop is open for 1 more week. Nothing was trimmed, it's still 4 weeks long. Follow the link for details.

I renamed mine... with that said I have tried to name my other generals horrible things and they go back to default no name status. Odds are you picked a bad word. You use to be able to but for some reason Blue Byte decided that a general's name that only you can see must not offend... yourself?
One army.Pretty please.
I'm just trying to rename my QM Claus "St. Nick". I can't imagine that being bad. Tried with and without the period in case that made any difference. I'll try another name to see if that works.
Update: "St. Nicholas" doesn't work, either. "Nicholas" by itself does work. Huh? Anyway, glad it worked, somewhat. Thanks for the help.
Named mine, "Odin/Sleipnir" after the original pagan 'Santa', and his trusty steed.
**Addendum - that is peculiar now that I consider it more... I have other generals that use spaces in their name, I use periods in some, dashes, and slashes... so must be the 'St.' that BB is banning... idk why. Perhaps the 'Nick'? I know that chat was masking the name, 'Mick', so...

Did you try it without the period after 'st'?
Looks like Smarty was complaining about this years being shorter than last years... You only provided a link for this year?!?!?! That is what he was whining about. FYI - 2014 (and 2013) was a full month before starting the removal phase(s):
XMAS 2014 TSO Sneak Peak
XMAS 2013 TSO Sneak Peak
So, Smarty was right, and I do also recall the full 4 weeks being used in the last 2 XMAS event as well... this is the first one I recall being shorted to 3 weeks. In fact it had 4 weeks showing while it was in test as well.
Cheers.

What will happen to the items made to use on the quest islands? Like the jewelry, toys, gifts etc... They are in the star menu but don't have an "X" to remove them, yet you can't use them anywhere except on the Christmas quests.
If you have leftovers after the event, you will be able to use them on your Mayor's House and get your resources back. You can find more info here.

no offense but that's what they said after the world cup event - and i'm still stuck with hundreds of buffs from that in my star. i suggest no one make anymore than required - use the guides to ensure this![]()
