Obviously BB wants great sales and at the same time not rolling the FM spree from 2 years ago. I get it.
Unfortunately to balance those two ends (good price for good chance of the good drops) is not an easy task. I didn't buy a single box last xmas and I am not going to buy one this year either. The chance of getting good stuff is way to low. I am not paying tons of gems for crap xmas decos.
BB could have used the test server feedback to find right balance between price of those boxes and % chance drop loot. Is it me or that is what the test server can be used for? If you guys could actually pay attention to the feedback you could make ton of gems sales. O well, If I have to pay for gems and also teach you how to spur the game sale - I should be working for BB...
Few of my guildies bought 1-3 boxes, most don't even bother. I suppose that's how it is with most guilds.
Funny thing is I am subbed to 5 other games and I see similar things happening there too. Great opportunities to spur in game cash shops sales busted by lack of vision/laziness or just greed of developers. Two other of my games released flat out broken content for Xmas event. I mean... Kinda getting short on words to describe stuff like this. It is as if more and more game devs (in general) didn't give a **** about their own product, content or quality and just expect their playerbase to keep paying for whatever they (devs) come up with - even if it doesn't make sense or is just flat out broken.
On one hand I feel just old. On the other, I am so **** proud to be old school. Thanks god I was thought by people who put profit at the end of the sentence, behind words like quality, loyalty, appreciation ect. They were not flying private jets or making vids about themselves but boy, they could deliver...

Also- they need a solution to the crappy decorations that pile up from these boxes. They obviously don't sell well on TO.
And you're stuck with them. Only thing to do is sell it for nothing practically or delete them or just let them pile up to clutter your misc menu screen.
I still have a ton of these from 2 years ago. The decorations.
