BB Endesmor has just this in the Christmas FAQ thread: "In case you started a treasure search before the Removal Phase started, you will receive an ingame message including Presents. The amount of presents depends on how many explorers you own. The team is working on it right now and it's planned that you receive your package until tomorrow end of the day (hopefully earlier)."
So it looks like we will receive presents for those searches after all, I hope.

Nice one. Just calling out everyone as such. Well, if my math serves me right, all these results of 'No presents', adds up to a pretty large consensus that nobody had explorers return with presents. FYI - having one admit to having presents come in would help some feel better, but as we all know, the odds were 50%-ish depending on the length of the search, and since all these players probably have been sending out their explorers out all event, they know that about half should come back with something...
PS - Mine also drew 100% blanks on presents (Though I only have 7, so perhaps I was just REALLY unlucky).
PPS - thanks, BB for the lost presents, every bit helps.
