Guild Quest rewards: Guild Coins vs Event Resources during events

Guild coins are hard enough to get right now with most quests asking way more than they are worth. Why have them disappear for 3 months out of the year?

How about this. Instead of replacing the rewards, just make an event guild quest chain? So you have your regular guild quests and then event ones as well.

I like the idea of having a guild quest that rewards event resources, but I also think the guild coin rewards are needed. Why not have 2 types of guild quest running at the same time during events? one would reward guild coins , the other would reward event resources.

i have voted for having Event resources during events. They seem very fun because we can also have an alternative way of getting them than the regular ones. It also increases the interest in guild quests to most players who keep them aside, as i did for my explorers for finding treasure. Well, my vote stands only till its kept that every participating members or active ones in the guild get the same amount of event resources as other guilds of different levels, maybe 5 for all as suggested by Evil_J or a bit higher amount.

The poll is about what you would prefer to see in the game, the exact balancing of this potential change has not been decided yet. If you like the idea of getting varied rewards depending on current events, then you have the opportunity to let the Game Design team know! We will then look into how everything can be balanced and made fair to everyone.

Please also keep in mind that any potential changes to the rewards will not affect the current Guild Quest system: any changes will be made after the Guild Quest Rework.

What are the value differences in this decision? If we do event resources does it influence the overall balance of event item prices or other avenues of obtaining event resources? I worry as to how that'll influence people in no guild, less active guilds, or those that don't often participate in guild quests (I believe the changes coming up stop rewarding non-participants).

i guess this all depends on the amount, so i voted im fine with both options
if its 5 eggs, dont bother, rather have 150 guild coins

for those complaining to keep the guild coins, first of all something needs to be in the guild shop worth spending them on, not just stuff I can usually get way cheaper through search or trade. them we can do a major RABBLE RABBLE about not getting guild coins.

I find a contradiction here... If Guild Coins are not worth collecting to you, then the stuff in Guild Shop is by definition cheap to you.
In other words, it appears to be expensive, only because the demand for Guild Coins remains high.. and if you'd get less of it, it would only get higher.. and guild items would seem even more absurdly expensive.

In other words, more guild coins can also make the stuff in Guild shop seem worth it.

Point is, this is all virtual, with no absolute value assigned to begin with.
If the designer of Guild Shop is bad... Same could happen to event resources as well.

What will you do with the extra event resources anyways? Sell them, or get more grout?
What if grout is added to guild shop for reasonable price?
It may not be reasonable price, I hear? BB bumped up the price of grout in event shop as well.. Go figure..
Recent events are just not the same as earlier events... including event shop items... no?

In other words, IMHO, failing to see the logic behind BB's design decisions is a common problem, and the root of all of our concerns.

Guild coins for guild quests and event items for events. If you feel inclined to mix the two then place an event item in the guild shop tab during the event (of course at your ridiculously high cost :P, yes that's sarcasm! )
