Collectibles not loading.
I have noticed, and I am sure others have as well, that not all of the collectibles on your island load at one time. I spend time searching for mine because I don't want to use the gems I buy for fairy fire. When I have searched and searched, and then I use fairy fire, low and behold right in front of my face both the collectible and the arrow pointing to it appear at the same time. This is very frustrating to me. Is this deliberate or is it a bug? Please fix this problem along with all the rest of the things players bring to your attention.

Did you know that if you eat pop-rocks and then drink cola, then your stomach will exploded? And it killed the kid from the commercial who liked that cereal?
Wait, this is not the thread on urban myths? This collectibles spawning in waves over time has been said over and over again, and shown not to be true. It is a problem with vision and recognition, and likely related to something hardwired into people, not the game. If you want to do a simple test, take some screenshots of the game with enough resolution to be able to see the collectibles. Then find all the collectibles you can normally. Then use fairy fire to find all those "missing collectibles" and check it against the picture your took when the quest came out. Then you can repost how many collectibles were not there in the original picture.
It is a very humbling experience when you search the island for a while, not finding the collectible, then you open the picture to see it is right in the middle of the screen in plain view.

No. Not completely true. Though we all have a physiological blind spot, which could cause some of the problem some of the time; the problem I have witnessed in TSO in regards to loading the collectibles is in conjunction with the function of Flash itself. Flash loads various 'layers' of the landscape in a sequence, slower networks load slower and slower (or less memory) in video cards load even slower, which can cause you to 'miss' collectibles in a sector you were viewing and subsequently moved out of prior to the system loading your collectibles; then when you return to that sector (or initiate Fairy Fire) the item(s) magically 'reappear'.
So, yes, the items were there all along, however it is not always urban myth that one might not have seen it because it was not loaded yet to see it.
