I don't have the depth of experience others have, I'm only on my third event. But this one seems just fine, bugs not withstanding. They removed the nuisance of your friends/guildmates accidentally ninja'ing your event island (like the golem killing) and made it easier for people to complete those achievements. This was the best way to resolve it without giving inactives an event island to crash.

Only thing I really do not like about this Easter event is not knowing or being able to watch my friends party crashers die. 1st one I did I kept hitting it thinking the buffs were not taking (of course I had not read how many it would take first)

I was pleased with non-event as well. I got an MMA then, too.

I have to say I'm enjoying this event. Had me at improved collectibles and good adventure payouts.

My only complaint is that the female explorer is not as quick as the lucky explorer and/or we didn't get another lucky from the event.

Is it a sexist thing? Or is there a female that gonna be as fast as the lucky coming out for halloween?

We likely won't see another Lucky explorer. They are simply too overpowered to keep giving out. The female explorer should be the same speed as the experienced explorers and savage scouts. No sexism here.

Agreed, This is the worst event ever. Quests are unfair and unbalanced. This event seems specifically designed to cause players who joined in the last year to quit. Well, it looks like that goal is a success.

sorry but paying gunpowder 8 days so far ... carriages, wheels and cannons on others - i would not classify these as 'easy guild quests'

Yes all of these issues are on the test server, in fact they were worse.
This easter event started as a great idea but also extremely ambitious.
They did many resets trying to solve the event problems, but they ran out of time and had to release it as-is.
Releases with known bugs seems to be just how they run things.
Still, this is one of my favorite games.

This will only be my third holiday event on this game, but I've got to say this one is the worst so far. The event looked fun at the start, but somewhere along the way it seems egg drops have been nerfed so it's hit or miss if you even get the minimum drop. This seriously sucks when you are running adventures and buying loot spots only to have, on a good day, half the adventures drop the minimum eggs. After doing four "Witch of the Swamp" adventures and only getting a minimum egg drop from one, I switched to pvp and got 35 eggs on the first colony. Thought, "oh, maybe I should just stick to pvp" then took a second colony and no eggs.

And what finally killed the little joy left in this event was last night. The gaudy truces are expensive and since my only reliable source of titanium is from the colonies I manage to find and take, I knew I wouldn't have enough titanium bars for all the gaudy truces I need. So in goes my army and, while the unofficial wiki wasn't 100% accurate on the attack set ups, it was close enough to finish the Party Crashers on the second wave. Until last night that is. 500 coin plus 2250 titanium bars to kill a camp that's wiped out 320 militia, 160 soldiers and 120 crossbow man. Yeah, I'm so not feeling the fun of this event anymore.

There does seem to be a general correlation between the join date and the magnitude of how badly this event is perceived. Having experienced the "Anniversary Event", or some of the early crisis events, this one seems rather benign in intent and mechanics.

One issue I do see is with the leveling of the party crasher camps into all 3 level groups. The only real comparison to the camps is the golem from Halloween, where the balance issue was handled the other way. For the golem, lower level players are halted at the maximum reasonable level of golem they will see. This means only the highest tier players will see the highest tier golem. On one hand, it means that lower level players can continue to kill camps at the lower levels, typically for fewer rewards, while higher level players experience the higher tier and the more expensive resource use. However, this would also mean that lower level players would not be able to get the higher tier achievements, and would be limited for their storehouse size. In this case, they left it up to the players for how far they were willing to spend resources to knock down successive camps.

For the guild quests, from the available information about the new quests and event quests, they are definitely easier on a whole. There are no adventures, especially long ones. There are no 8-12 hour production tasks. It appears they do not have any items requested that a player should not be able to get at their levels. While there are still payments of expensive resources, what is shown is for the over 50 category; these players are expected to have the ability to produce these items at this point. From the economic standpoint, the individual egg rewards values are still higher than the cost of the donations, giving the guild bonus as profit. And ultimately, it is a player decision to participate even in these scaled down adventures; they have removed any penalty for achievements for the guild quests.
