Unhappy Very Long Adventure Search and Junk Scenario Drops

As of the past couple of weeks, I'm getting almost exclusively scenarios and map frags from Very Long Adventure searches.

Now I know that the RNG can be awfully cruel at times but this has been going on long enough and is such an obvious departure from the previous drops that I have to ask what's going on here?

When my Intrepid doesn't bring back 2 Storm REcoveries, it;s usually because she hauled a Riches of the Mountain home along with a Storm Recovery.

These things are beyond useless. The rewards are so far out of line with the cost that no one in their right mind wants to run them. I can accept when rewards are out of line with cost when the rewards include a chance of getting something nice, but nothing that drops from these scenarios
is worth the time that it takes to run them if they were cost-free besides the time.

Just as I'm getting into stride enjoying the new content, it seems to be all screwed up. C'mon. What gives?

Not to rejoice at someone else's misery but.... Finally!!!!! It's not just me anymore. I've been getting a megaton of Secluded Experiments since the Intrepid was launched and it's making me near crazy. I've got a thread in the Bug Report forum. So far no comment from BB.

Megaton Arctic Explosions for me, closely followed by ehhh, what is it, Whirlwind? lol Anyhow, those 2 along with Storm Failure and Thievery in the Mountains. Getting SE is almost a desire for me at this point. Woodcutter does empirically feel nerfed, but since I'm not writing down stats I can't tell for sure other than going by memory judgement.

This game offers a lot of good things, but maybe it's time for some cleanup. Many adventures/scenarios are worthless, too long and too expensive to run, and no one cares about them. A good recipe for failure is bad management and expensive and unpopular new products. Why a business would keep trying to sell products that nobody is interested in? My theory is that the manager at BB drives a Pontiac Aztek and drinks Vanilla Coke. That would explain everything.

Arctic Explosions and SE's for me as well. I am lucky to see 1 Woodcutter a week from her. I would rather receive frags than AE or SE.

Because these digital things don't take up storage space nor require any kind of up keep to stay where they are. Thus to them it's not a "this doesn't sell and needs to be replaced" but a "not everyone likes it, but we do have some variety". That many adventures need to be adjusted one way or another is crystal clear to any 5 year old that's been playing for a little while (granted you still want to be in the L40 range to actually be able to judge that properly) and you actually want to offer variety because it makes sense, not to push some agenda. Could probably take out 10 adventures without anybody even noticing or even caring. I do remember that shortly after the loot nerf (revamp...) there was some BB posting "ehhhh well, it just changed, we are collecting data and will be adjusting accordingly.....but not really". Instead they focus on taking off the aggro zone of leaders from Nords (granted, that is valid and okay), instead of actually making some 10+ adventures at least kind of worth it to run.

    What's wrong with vanilla Coke?
    Everything.

But there is alot more wrong with a lot of stuff. Like...most every such soda that gets infused with cherry, lime, vanilla, what have you...that's "culinary" abuse.

True. But someday, this will serve as a case study in marketing classes. They will teach that even a virtual inventory needs a serious management strategy. Actually, I might be wrong, I really don't know because I can't see their books, but they are very passive. An aggressive approach would be to adjust the inventory constantly according to the customer's needs and to optimize their existing resources accordingly. Why the expedition castle? Why the scenarios?

And that's why Vanilla Coke was discontinued because when the variety sucks, then you wasted time and money.
And when a totalitarian manager decided to produce the Aztek in spite of what people said, both the product and the brand failed epically.
