Thumbs up Creating a more level playing field

    Hi all,

I would like to suggest two things:

    1. To allow for the purchase of FM's in the Merchant for something like beans under Epic Items.

Reason: For many new players like myself it is almost impossible to get these. For players who have been around for some time they were able to get a lot of them from a Mystery box from an event. This has not been seen since. This gives these players a big advantage especially with the new Elite Army and if people do PVP thats 3 Armies.

    2. In events allow players to play to get the new buildings and resources as well as all those in previous events (of the same event type) up to the current game maximum.

Reason: This again is to try to create a more level playing field but in a way that is limited over time. New players will not suddenly have an army equivalent to the likes of Evil J but would at least be able to one day if they really hammer events. This also gives new players a realistic vision of something to aim for.

I am sure some people will agree and most likely those who already have will disagree but hey here's my 10 cents.

The easy fix would be to just change the loot so that the odds are no longer so low that they may as well be 0.

I mostly gave up on population buildings other than magnificent residences a while ago. The good news about those is that not only are they better than almost everything else (odd shape/size notwithstanding), but also beans are way cheaper than they used to be if you want to go the route of buying beans.

I'm not sure about people being able to immediately play catch up. There should be some reward for having been around for a while.

No I agree to a point but if you think about it most of the time low levels struggle to even get one top end event item, it would take years for them to truly catch up. I have been playing almost 1 year (currently lvl 60) and still don't always get everything I want out of events, but at least having the option would give me some hope... there would be nothing immediate about it.

I am baffled by this. You're not competing against any other player. What playing field are you trying to level? Of course they're more advanced in possessions than you are; they have been around longer. So what? Keep plodding along and maybe one day you'll get what they have. Maybe you won't. Either way, what they have has literally zero impact on your game or anyone else's. There is no competitive playing field to be leveled; every player is on their own field.

If you're at 60 in a year, you've got me beat. There are a few items from past events that would make life easier either because they are high powered specialists (MMAs, explorers) or maybe some resource buildings (recyclers, village schools) but nothing that should serve as a particularly large road block. The rest of the stuff you can mostly buy in trade.

I think it took me probably a year before I would have been able to start maxing out on everything by dumping resources for event items, so not right away unless you buy your way in but still a relatively short time compared to how long the veterans have been around.

    Hi there,

Agree POPPA and Gwalben, we are on our own field to a point. But when i go to trade and try and compete to buy buildings etc against others who have 18billion in coin, I can simply never get a good deal. These players have got a lot from deals etc but also from having other buildings and powered specialists (MMAs, explorers) that I simply would never have as many of. From what I understand I have missed: Many recyclers, imp silo's, a gold tower and other buildings 2-3 MMA, several Lucky and Experienced explorers.

Now this may not seem like much but when you add up the products of the buildings over say 1 year and all the buffs and event resources the explorers could bring back.

And now very importantly the amount of troops you can save from the new Ali adventures having more MMA makes a big impact. I am sure by know you know how long it takes new Elite troops to build even skunked.

But hey am enjoying the discussion and thanks for your replies, keep it going

I am at level 61, having played about 10 months. Many people have more MMAs than I do, or more FMs, or more more more whatever. It hasn't stopped me from getting to 61 in just 10 months. If you're at 60, you haven't really been held back a whole lot.

If I start a new job, I don't expect that after one year I should have all the perks and benefits of the guys who have been there 5 years. You work your way up over time; you don't just look at the top of the heap and say "I should be there too, because I'm in the pile now, too."

On the other hand, my God yes! It takes SO LONG to build the elite troops!!!

I don't know much about the economy on Zeus, but on Ares I find the tradable gem/event buildings to be reasonably priced enough for someone who's been playing for a while to afford.

I like the gold tower and think it's one of the better rewards, but its production is about 80k coins per year always buffed. Nice for basically no resource cost, but I know some people say it's not worth the space. Recyclers are nice for not having to search for coal mines any more, though.

If I had to pick one item I'd miss, it would be the MMAs. Having 5 of them lets me throw a chain of suicides at the enemy and save a lot of resources. The caveat to this is it doesn't speed up play any. On the contrary, it takes what could be fast adventures and turns them into a game of patience, where you have to wait for 2 hours in between attacks.
