Yes the gloves and bananas and all the collectibles can be traded as well and on the Trade Office. Doesn't count towards your quest.
The point of this thread wasn't about how rare the items are. It's about bad design on creating quests that is intended to be completed but not spawning the item needed to complete it.
You probably don't want to hear it, but my most recent collectible drop had 4 fists. :P
Yeah their "randomizer" stinks though. I've been trying to get to lvl 30 for Expeditions, and I literally never see anything other than coal, marble, and hardwood anymore. These are so worthless, literally nobody owns any of them. I was reduced to needlessly taking an rare in itself iron ore island just for the exp pts.
I almost never see any dummies in the game. Good thing they gave a big stack before the event started. I'm not sure I will be that lucky in 2018. Or will I? I don't get what they mean in the dev diary about how they will disappear after the event.
