My generals may be holiday themed, but they are not intended to be temporary generals. Any more than Lord Dracul or QM Clause are temp generals.
You would get these generals the same way we got Lord Dracul and QM Clause last year. Namely, using event resources to buy them in the Market.

Also, other abilities that generals could gain would include: Summon/Calling (bringing in additional units for one battle), ability to become enraged and make a double attack, or use a shield to absorb some damage, etc. Use your imagination.

    More Generals

    1) The Recruiter

    Special Ability: Recruit Recruiter
At the beginning of battle, the Recruiter calls into play on an empty spot in his army between 10 - 25 Recruits for 1 battle only.

    Carries 220 troops

Takes half damage from bladed weapons. Full damage from blunt weapons (club, staff and cannonballs). None from ranged weapons (arrows go right through it).

While expanding the range of general to provide more flexibility would be a nice idea, this demonstrates why having some basic idea of game balance and combat mechanics is a benefit when making suggestions.

While the Master of Martial Arts general has been a great benefit to players, the side effects of adding to the game have caused issues that are still being addressed, in the form of making the game more difficult for lower level and newer players. Older players with multiple MMA's have a significant advantage, and obtaining one early on completely changes the initial island dynamics. There was a massive uproar when BB attempted to remove it from the event market that they were essentially forced to put it back in. A watered-down version is demonstrated by the Lord Dracul general, which again demonstrates how powerful the first strike/weakest unit combination is by comparison. Therefore, creating a number of near clones of the MMA general, with increased hit points and special abilities, and providing multiple copies throughout the year simply fails as viable idea.

Furthermore, there is the additional difficulties in attempting to add to the roster of specialists available for sale during events. The addition of the improved buildings and specialists to the market is necessary to keep some of the balance between premium and free-to-play players, but the current event markets now significantly exceed the ability of most players to purchase many of the items available for sale. Unfortunately, there is a difficult balance between continuing to expand the game and complete the improved production chains already started and keeping the events practical. One method being used is in creating holiday-themed items that do not completely disrupt the game markets, such as The Easter Basket and The Spacious Storehouse, where players earn improvements by playing the event while not creating must-have items.

All of my generals are based on the template of Lord Dracul. All of these special abilites will just create different types of generals slightly stronger than Lord Dracul but weaker than MMA or a Major General.

    Master of Martial Arts
    Number of Units: 220
    Hitpoints: 1
    Damage: 450-500
    Accuracy: 80%
Attributes: Attack Weakest, Splash Damage, First Strike

    Lord Dracul
    Number of Units: 200
    Hitpoints: 999
    Damage: 111-333
    Accuracy: 77%
    Attributes: First Strike, Splash Damage

As noted before, the biggest difference between the MMA and Dracul generals is the Attack Weakest attribute, which removes low hit points/high damage troops without being subject to loss from enemy first attack/attack weakest, as cavalry is. While the Dracul general has more hit points, it is more than offset by the ability of enemy armies to continue to protect their high damage units, making the difference in hit points fairly meaningless. Adding the attack weakest attribute back into the mix makes it a much more powerful general. These generals could hardly be considered based on the weaker of these two general when having the two most significant features of the stronger while taking the increased hit points of the weaker, even considering the decrease in damage. In addition, with some of the special abilities, such as the 10% damage or slow attacking, it becomes a boss killer as well, as random selection is meaningless when there is only a single target.

Again, this demonstrates why having some basic idea of game balance and combat mechanics is a benefit when making suggestions.

All this thread is about, are SUGGESTIONS. Don't you know what SUGGESTIONS are?
If the developers want to include any of these generals into the game, they will make sure they are NOT more powerful than a MMA.
The basic template for these generals has always been Lord Dracul with a special ability.
And it doesn't matter if I know about game balance issues or not.
I know that if any of these generals are added to the game, they will be play tested first.
Almost all game studios have inhouse playtesters. PLUS this game has the Test Server as well.
So, if any special ability or combinations of skills will make any of these generals stronger than a MMA, the develops will weaken the general before adding them to the regular servers.

I've been reading the suggestions. Now I like some of the ideas, but I feel like they would work better in a different game. I'm not sure the mechanics of this game would allow most of the specialty attacks.
