New Week-Long event for multiple times during the year The Festival

The Festival will set up its tent (icon) on Event Island
Players would click on the icon to take them to Festival Island (just like what happens when you click on an active adventure)
On Festival Island would be many different tents
Game tents- games of skills or chance where players can win Event Resources (toys)
Adventure tents- you can click on these to activate adventures unique to the Festival (Festival Adventures)
Excusion tents- you can click on these to activate an Excurison (Unique to the Festival)
Each of the above will cost a certain number of Festival Tickets to enter:
Games: 2 FTs (Festival Ticket)
Adventure: 10 FTs
Excursion: 20 FTs
You can get FTs by loging in every day- 1 FT per day
Festival Ticket Booth- buy more FTs with Gems 50 FTs for 25 Gems
Redemption Booth- Trade in toys for Adventures, Resources, Buffs, etc (could be included in regular market as well)
The Festival can come into town when no Regular Event Occurs (ie Halloween, Christmas, easter, and Summer Events)
Ideally in Feb, March (if Easter occurs late April), April (if Easter occurs in March), May (is Summer Event occurs in June), June (if Summer Event occurs in May), July, and August. Possibly in November. September has seen major updates and therefore no Festival is needed. About 5 or 6 times a year.

Excursions:

Uses a 30 x 30 grid map
You move your general around to discover the map (map starts out blacked out).
There are 900 squares to explore.
Each squre has the possiblity of: Encounter (a fight), Treasure (resources, buffs, etc), nothing, a trap, special event, keys, healing wells, secret doors.
The devs could design a random map generater with random Encounters, treasures, etc. Or design Encounters wit set encounters, treasures, etc.
When your general hit an Encounter, a fight occurs with your general taking damage.
The Excursion is over when you general reaches 0 Hit Points.
Players can buy health potions ( buff) from the Market to heal the general back up, or rest for an hour (in Real Time), find a Healing Well, or find a Healing Potion (buff) found in a treasure.
If the general can find 100 keys, the player can trade them in for a perk for one of his general.
Possible Perks: +1 Hit Points, +1 Armor (absorbs damage to general), +1 Reflexes (+1 = 1 % chance to avoid a hit in battles during adventures or excursions), +1 Hit Points to all army units led, + 1 Armor to Army Units, +1 Reflexes to Army Units, +1 to speed (at 100 speed, chances attack cattagory to one faster. Regular strik units to First Strike), +1 to speed for Army Units.

A better way for Excursions to work:
10 floors of 10 x 10 with stairs down connecting the floors.
This would give 1000 total sqares to explore.
There could be around 30 to 40 encounters per floor.
1 Health Well with 5 uses.
5 to 7 keys per lvl.
15 to 20 treasures per lvl.

Festivals or carnivals or circuses have been around for thousands of years. In fact, festivals in China date back 3000 years.
Festival is just a form of celebration for one thing or another. Music Festivals. Holiday Festival. Shakesphere Festivals. and many others are known.
There were many festivals during the Middle Ages as well. Although many of them delt with knights in combat of one form or another.

Your idea is a temporary Excelsior. We earn crystals from daily activity that we can put in the Excelsior to try to obtain pieces or resources from the Excelsior slot machine. We can redeem them for the quests or ventures... I think one Excelsior is enough.

While I didn't like any of your general ideas, I thought the brainstorm ideas for new generals was much better directed, at some point the devs will get back to the skill trees for generals and the main island, now with "queue-able" books coming in the prov house we can actually hope to fully outfit a few of these guys. More ideas for generals are good things (either generals or skills).

Anyway, sorry to rain on your parade, keep posting stuff anyway when you think of it, but this one I don't like.

Sorry, this is not an Excelsior clone!

The games introduced could be anything from Match 3 games (very popular these days), Tower Defense, etc. The sky's the limit. The developers can let their imagination go wild to come up with new and fun games. One of the biggest complaits of players on Stream game web page is that there is not enough to do in this game. This is one way to fix that problem.

Excursions are Rogue clones maps where the general go solo to fight enemies, find treasure, etc.

Festival Adventures would be unique to the Festival alone. These adventures could be different than any other adventures now in the game. And I will be glad to design them if Ubisoft wants me to do so. Ever heard of Army Rush games?

Almost anything can be done with the festival to make the game more fun. Give the players more to do and so on.

I realize, this could be a big undertaking on behave of the developers. However, if the Festival bring in thousands of new players would it not be in the developers' best interest to do so?

The way I see it, the First time the Festival could come around would be in February 2017 with only Excursions in place. Possibly with 1 or 2 games in place. Even maybe 1 Festival Adventure in place.

Also, the Festival could be the perfect place to bring back adventures not seen for a while as well like The End of the World or other scarce adventures.
