I'm just wondering how people are able to get these quest chains seemingly once every couple of days.

We are a small guild and have 10 members that are level 54 and up with 8 over level 60. The rest are lower levels than that.
There are 3 of us, 60-64 still plugging away trying to get the recipe. Of the 2 members at 54-56, one has already gotten their recipe.
I figure 2 a week is maybe doable, so just under 10 a month. That's why I don't think people complaining when they hit 10 is reasonable. Wondering if maybe 100 is the actual answer, though. It is a nice round number, but still pretty awful if we're talking about just under a year, regardless of that being a worst case scenario.
Anyone have a max number tries for tome? I am at try number 6, no luck so far. I hope I don't have to run the whole chain 100 times
It must be very discouraging to do a manuscript try 50-100 times while your guild members, who got the recipe in 10 tries, are progressing toward leveling and building goals. Sorry that the game is so unfair to you guys. This seems very irregular.

10?! We had no less than 4 in guild who got it on the very first try?! Many more within 5, then a clump of us 10+; mine was 'lucky' number 21... Somewhere along the way, somebody informed me that, "Staying unlucky during a long period is unfortunately not exceptional," so I suppose those not exceptional peeps should just suck it up was my understanding. Weird, but true. Not sure that they truly understood statistics, chances and distribution, but.... who am I?

attempt 9 after upgrade, finished another compass, 50 gems again...sigh....no manuscript recipe again.....wth do i have to do to get this bl..dy recipe....
