I wish that was true. Glad you got it so soon, but have had 67 tries here, still no luck.

My 83rd attempt and...... finallly...... got the manuscript recipe. Could it be that I asked for it in the wishing well forum! To those of you who have not got it yet keep trying and keep posting on this thread so as to pressure BB to solve this ridiculous and unfair part of the game.

I could be wrong, but apparently, to BB, we are together a bunch of statistic...
As long as averages are met for a large number of players.. you did not try hard enough.. or play long enough.. or real life isn't fair either (and they are right).. etc etc..
and even including my favorite, most players do not understand probability (and I think they are wrong)

I can't count how many times I have completed this quest - still no manuscript. In addition, of the 3 ventures that can supply manuscript, I consistently get Lost Compass. Trying to keep up with making a codex to kick it off is getting tedious especially with the irony of not having a manuscript recipe to help. Now with the introduction of a tech tree for generals, the lack of manuscript recipe is more than just irritating but a distinct disadvantage. BB take a long, hard look at the figures - not everybody here with without due cause for complaint

I agree. I am getting more lost compass than anything else. I see many get the recipe soon after they can do the quests. Many that don't are in the higher level range.

Yeah I was a bit suspicious of that too.

Nope. I was lvl 70 when i finally got the recipe, i think almost halfway through 71.

I got the manuscript recipe while I was level 59.

I was level 57 and got it on the second try...
