my data of 32 BK ls so far:
0 pumpkins refill : 7 ls
6 pumpkins refill : 19 ls
21 pumpkins refill: 6 ls

total 6*19+21*6=240 pumpkins refill,

average 7.5 pumpkins refill per ls .

looking very lucky on your drops (based on % of types of drops):

0 pumpkins refill : 7 ls (~21.9% - close to 1/3x the expected %)
6 pumpkins refill : 19 ls (~59.4% - close to 2x the expected %)
21 pumpkins refill: 6 ls (~18.7% - close to 2x the expected %)

One thing I have noticed is that to spend 75 pumpkins in the shop for only 10 pumpkins to refill an exhausted pumpkin farm makes no sense at all. And you can apply only one of these refills at a time. You have to wait until it is exhausted again to see if it can be done again. I don't know who came up with the math on this but I expect to see a lot of players not complete the achievements in this years Halloween Event.

I believe those are intended to be a bailout solution only.

If you accidentally fail to turn off your patch without putting in refills you acquired from adventures or trading, then you can resurrect it.

Giving it a 10 pumpkin balance at least gives you up to 40 of the 75 back if you buff with trick/treat and a decent time window to realize that you should put the patch to sleep before it runs empty again.

The farm rebuild is meant to work in conjunction with the refills. Take the initial 10 pumpkins, add a 10 pumpkin refill to get to 20, and then add a x4 buff, and you will get 80 pumpkins out of that 75 spent.

3 days in....3 noble patches sleeping cuz i cant drop enough deposits on them. Is this a way to force me to buy gems? Not gonna happen.

Pumpkin drop rate is too low to support pumpkin patches.

And doing 10-15 advs a day is not possible.

You need to get 108 (36 x 3) to stay even and keep the nobles running.

Also, good job in killing the most social aspect of the game, by now everyone is trying to maximize their drops and apparently the rates are better on solo adventures. Barely any swapping/selling ls in guild or TO. Last events all chat tabs would explode during an event. Now, not so much. Not a lot of ls to go around, everyone doing their own thing. If you do the refill, make it doable to obtain them and give a few of the 2 or 3 player adventures a good drop. Can't be too hard to figure that one out (

After adding in explorers finding pumpkins on treasure searches for the 1st time this year, I honestly think BB was trying to keep the pumpkin patches in the event since it's kind of a tradition by now and this was the solution they came up with. I'm only guessing of course, but it's a logical conclusion to reach.

Having explorers bring them back, the pumpkin patches, plus regular drops would be too much. The refill idea is actually a creative solution, and maybe just needs some adjusting to work out. Either that or maybe we end up losing the pumpkin patches entirely and getting regular drops next year.

I have max explorers so am doing fine, but I can see why people who don't are upset with the change. Then again, playing for free and expecting to get a ton of pumpkins/presents/eggs without using explorers, well maybe those days are drawing to a close and we're gonna start to get what we pay for. Just saying.

But on the other hand.... there are a lot of pumpkins available from golems, quests, achievements, etc so even free players can scrape together enough for a general, or a couple buildings, just can't get everything in the shop. IDK, the game has changed a lot since I started. It seems like it used to be a whole lot easier to get event resources a few years back. But nothing in life ever stays the same, so just gotta deal with it.
