How do we delete things from the star menu?

I never have been figure this out. Does anyone know how to do it?

For items that can be deleted, there will be a small 'X' in the upper right hand of the icon in the star menu. Not all items can be deleted.

How do you delete the ones without the "x"? I had a glitch when buying the pumpkin patches and they never went into the star menu. Another person also posted the same thing in the technical section. I sent support and they say I deleted them as soon as I purchased them and now I am locked out of buying more. I'm losing lots of pumpkins not having them and it prevents me from obtaining the refill achievement, losing the pumpkins for that reward too.

And just now I had the EXACT same thing happen with the excelsior after inserting 4 gems. I pushed the button, nothing came out, it froze up for a few minutes then closed with no item. There is still browsers issues. This event is so full of bugs I am ready to give up on this event. Its getting very ugly beings as support is blaming us for these bugs and glitches and are of NO support at all and not handling them in any way.

If it doesnt have the X in the corner to delete it, sell it in trade for a fish if it's tradable.

Why would I want to sell or trade noble pumpkin patches for 1 fish?
