Thread: Trouble Since Update on 16.12.2016 as Steam Player

I am a steam player. It is even a miracle I could get this far. At first I got the Flash/Chrome error at launch, and after the hard fix of changing the package.json.default file, I finally got to the landing page. I hit play got error saying couldn't load plugin, so I changed from chrome plugin to Adobe Flash plugin, it refreshed, hit play, same error. To be honest I don't even know how it is letting me post this in the forum. I have posted in several discussions in the community hub on steam as I've made progress to what has essentially been nothing. I would love to get back on and enjoy the event that I haven't even gotten to play yet.

Overall I have uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, Steam, TSO. I installed flash to my computer seperate from my chrome. I did all of the troubleshooting that Adobe had to offer for both my Chrome plugin and for the seperate flash player. I did the hard fix, and soft fix and the best I've been able to load is the forum, which is indeed a miracle, but bizarre since I still can't play. And to be on the safe side, in case my ability to return to the forum here becomes hindered again, I will post a discussion on the Steam community page with title of "Trouble Since Update on 16.12.2016." And I will post almost verbatum this post, almost.

I hope someone can fix this issue, because I am no where close to the only one struggling. Many of us steam players that still can't get on are upset because we are missing what we were hoping to be a wonderful and fun event.

I have discover that this issue is much older, at least for some/many players. I am aware that there is work being done and if anyone wants better details of what all I did to get even where I did, I will be glad to do so if it helps reach a solution more quickly. I love this game and have progressed well on my island. I don't want to give up hope on my now month unattended Island (school comes first). Even though for me the original month was my own choice, for others it has been because of what ever coding error that has presented itself. I send much hope to the devs for a fix to the problem. My fingers are crossed for good luck.
