    I'd like to finish the storage building as well. I needed only 2 buffs from a friend. But you could only give a certain amount. That was fixed on the next event. Now you can go over. Not fair. I like the university. I'd like more. I have so many schools I never have to buff population. Not sure I'll use the park. I don't use soccer field, I forget it's there. I like the way the new gen,exp and geos have unique specialty's. I wish the grim reaper had a specialty. It's no different then the ones I paid for. I love any building that gives us higher population.

    Anyone been able to solve the puzzle for the new geologist? If not I will leave it hidden and this is your warning that below will be the reveal of it.

    I say make it 3 minutes and/or make it fast geologist for 30 minute searches (can be part of the special ability and only apply to iron) and you have something great.
    Yes, not really a useful specialist except for noobs still in earlier stages of production. The new math is a deceptive, marketing type of thing; he does discover 50% faster mins IF you view the rate from his new rate.... (4m + 2m (50%) = 6m [normal iron mine]) not cool since we never had 4m iron mines, it is sort of false-advertising to make an assertion of 50% faster --- faster than what? Our baseline is 6m. Should either make them true 50% faster (3m) or correct the advertising to show what it really is -- from the speed of what we normally see.

    Did not notice it was a slow geo... if that is the case he is useless. Will only get him just because it is a limited item. No doubt he would rarely get called on in any case.

    I recall peeps saying that the MMA when it was in test would be useless, then last event, even some whined that Mary Christmas would be useless, and both of those prophecies have been debunked... I fail to see how this specialist will defy early prognosticators and become more than eye-candy for the Star Menu.

    Addendum:

    Okay, I was raised that I should never complain about something unless I had an offer on how to improve/fix/resolve the problem. So, here goes:

    The primary problem with 'Iron-Willed Geologist', is that he is focused on Iron. Most players once they attain level 50 can easily sustain themselves on acquiring deposits from Epic, FT and AB adventures, along with placing an Industrial Iron Mine on a couple mines buffed with steaks, running a mining guide now and again, and voila, one has a steady supply of iron.

    What areas we could use a geologist that finds 'faster' mines at higher levels is titanium and salt mines. Copper, gold and coal already have skill trees for the geos to improve, so don't need to address them. In these cases, I would be perfectly content with a slow geologist performing their job in this manner.
    • Make the new geologist capable of finding One (1) resource at the point of purchase from the merchant; players select from Iron, Salt and Titanium, then that geologist finds the selected resource that mines faster (how much, I am not going to concern myself with here). The geologist would search slow as is current.
    • Assuming the 'Select at purchase' method is not a viable option to program in the existing environment, then offer 3x geos: 1 for Iron, 1 for Salt and 1 for Titanium. Possibly make all 3 show in the merchant, but make only one available for purchase. E.g. lock out all 3 when one is purchased.

    Well, food for thought, in any case.

    4 minutes is 50% faster. We have just been lied to our whole lives thanks to capitalism. They advertise a "buy one get one free sale" {+100%} as the same thing as a "half off sale" {-50%} when it is actually 100% off which gives us all misconceptions because, well math sucks.

    Yes, 6=3+3. But 3+3=100%+100%, not 100%+50%.
    So 6=2x+x
    6=3x
    x=2
    So 2 is the 50%
    6-2=4.

    Tada! Math.

    Yes, it is deceptive advertising, but that has been around since the dawn of time. Nothing new or unique to Blue Byte. Should they change the description to match the book skills and just say "mined faster"? Sure, it would save frustration on both sides.

    As for the usefulness of this specialist, I use my taverns to find iron anyway so this is helpful to how I play the game. It would be nice if it was a fast geologist, but I am guessing they are reluctant to do that because who would pay gems for the Jolly when you get the milk for free?
    One army. Pretty please.

    May or may not be relevant to some, slow Geos (like having 6 of them or a combination of any slow ones) let's you mined granite pretty much 24/7 (17xL5 here) as you can presend and they get the night shift. I'm not saying he will be massively useful to high levels other than function as another Geo to assign a job to, but I'll be going to skill him for that hidden extra marble/iron deposit, gonna replace that with a fast Industrial mine and he's pretty much done his job for me.
    I guess decent for noobs, but overall a bit expensive with, what was it...1195 eggers? Yea.

    Still got just under 70k deposits to go through with that setup, so I got a bit of time left hehe

    LOL! I need to start teaching mathematics again!

    I think you are a little messed up on what you are saying, I thing you have the premise right, but your explanation is seriously messed up
    when BB advertises 100% it means double the original, so if original is 6, then after the 100% it is 12, which is 100% times the original.
    when BB advertises 50% it means half of the original added to the original, so if the original is 6, then after the 50%, it is 9, which is 50% times the original

    This is like the buffs, 100x buff doubles production, 200x buff triples production, etc
