What I find bad is that if you miss a day and log in again the first day is not counted as first day of new streak but the end of failed last streak. This way you lose 1 more day when you actually logged in.

Maybe I am the odd man out, but I did not have a red X on any days when I was finally able to log back in. Has me on day 4 right now on the streak.

that bug happens sometimes. for me 2 outcomes so far: either the red x is presented on a random refresh same day or first login next day.

I had the same thing happen, it was where i left off before maint. I got the gems for day 7 when i logged on, left for a couple hrs and came back, then got the crystals for day 1. Also had a daily quest and a waiting one.
What i don't get is why the rainbows kept running, i thought the island went inactive after 24 hrs of inactivity.

We are sorry for the downtime and for the fact that our maintenance took a bit longer than expected. The downtime on Sunday struck more than just us here at TSO. Monday was a chance for our Dev's to work hard to fixed some issues and thus the maintenance took longer than expected. We will have a compensation package released soon for this downtime!

Again, your maintenance time has exceeded the time at which you said it would be over. Using the word "frustrating" to describe the last two days is a significant undersell. Issues fixed? I still had multiple "Chat unavailable" resets last night. And now, we're over fifteen minutes past the "revised" time you said the game would be available.

Doesn't seem to me as though things are getting any better, IMHO...

they changed the 6am finish time to 8am, then 11 am... (it's 10am right now eastern time zone)

update: looks like 11 has come & gone and still no game...
