i was thinking an easy way to expand the game is to allow other generals who are not human, and then by extension, other areas

for example, we could have an elf general, a dwarf general, a gnome general, etc--as well as prospectors

much of the art is already coded, so this wouldn't be too hard--AND bluebyte could borrow sprites from ubisofts "heroes of might and magic" library of software art--remember, much of the art here is right out of heroes of might and magic anyway

this idea builds on the idea in the last year which added female explorers, but now the idea goes further into the realm of classic fantasy

1) for example, a gnome or dwarf prospector could bring back more ore
2) an elf general could have buffs to archers

In addition, the advent of such fantasy characters would allow the lore to expand for this game--more lore is more "hooks" to get players interested in settlers. Also more lore lets the devs branch out to "low hanging fruit"--easy to code quests and adventures such as make contact with the island home where a colony of elves lives.
