That is still on the front page... and it's how we actually got here... we all understand what you were TRYING to do, and we're all explaining how you've failed so far. Take the suggestions and recognize that we all saw the dev notes, none of us are confused about your intentions, we're confused about how poorly this was planned out.

holy crap... so i just logged in today and we got ANOTHER hotfix completion? that's pretty crappy considering i was already done with my current step of weeklies, literally just needed to login, sell my sinbad LS, and click complete... so NOW I'm on this Sinbad which I don't even need to have started in the first place. So while everyone else gets pushed forward with the hotfix, all that happened to me is that i need to resell this LS, which i already had a buyer for, because he no longer needs it. Would be really nice if you would let us skip the NEXT step so that it's a whole step for everyone, not 99.9% for some and 0.1% for others.

or you could just stop messing everything up... and maybe address the problem that your WEEKLY challenges are being completed on a DAILY basis by your level 46-55. The longer this goes unchecked the more unbalanced it will be.

EDIT: if you are going to implement a 4 hour fix for mountain clan, and you know in advance that you're going to need to do that, you can just announce the ACTUAL time and date in advance, and call it a "fix" rather than a "hotfix." At that point, the only thing players will expect is that their premium and adventures times get extended by at least 4 hours. If you DO have a hotfix that has to be implemented without proper warning, you should compensate players more evenly by sending them a premium day or some event resources or something. This "compensation via auto-complete quests" is probably the worst idea this game has implemented (including the original Branch Office and Trade Tab setup).

The overall idea for Weekly Challenges was to create content, which would provide a similar challenge to a crisis quest, but on a more frequent basis. Those challenges should not be something you would click through in a couple of minutes, but should rather create a time challenge, where you have to think about how to approach it carefully to a degree where you maybe have to make a decision to not participate in other parts of the game, but to focus on one challenge for now and than switch back to other tasks. To create a time challenge I decided to focus on tasks, which consume a certain amount of time. Produce resources and buffs, complete specialist tasks, play certain adventures, those kind of tasks. The time challenge itself was set to 4,5 days, while giving you 7 days to complete it. This shows how time consuming such a challenge would be. Weekly Challenges aren't something for everyone, but rather challenging content for people, who are investing quite some time into this game and are looking for more things to do. Such a high time consumption also means, that this content should remain completely optional and never reward something, which is mandatory for the progress in the game, so I decided to go with the increase of the population limit, which would provide additional benefits in the long term.

    The Future

I would like to thank you again for providing feedback. I did read as much as I could and will continue reading more of it. Your concerns are important to me so I will try to lay out some of my plans on how I would like to approach the future of weekly challenges. First of all, I do not plan to remove the time challenge by removing adventures from them or drastically reduce the amount of resources asked. What I would like to do is to collect more feedback and also directly analyse the available data. My personal goal is to improve the situation without compromising the time challenge. It's not an easy task, but there are ways. One such way for example is to introduce more adventures including Ali Baba the Young Woodcutter for map fragments, which is planed for the near future.
In a few words guys, it's like "Nope! Nothing about will change, only the possibility to do viable spending full time to complete this challenge."

The objective sounds good but turns crazy at high level, why? highest levels tend to say "I have 50k of everything, I have nothing to worry about it!". Well, now you will have one right there.
Anyway seems unbalanced spending tokens at buildings, I can't think invest full time doing this challenges for months and just having one building at level max. and it can't be tradable/sold btw.

Nope nope, I'm just passing by

I'd polish off the last stage now that I've come this far through hotfixes, but I don't think I have enough time.

I don't understand how there have been so many posts about the difficulty in obtaining three Wisdoms or a Besieged City, and BB_Alex comes up with offering Woodcutters for map fragments in the merchant. Will it come with three free platinum swords and a dung horseshoe that increases speed 1% for 14 seconds also?

Getting woodcutters is a problem now though as well because they appear to have removed it from the adventures searches tables or I have the worse luck around because i haven't gotten any for a week now. Making woodcutters more available is the first step in that chain - without those you don't get the 2nd and 3rd thiefs from which Wisdoms come.

If they hadn't selected adventures that they just had an event which gave double xp/double loot on then there would be no immediate problem with Wisdoms - most everyone I know ran them until they cleared out their inventories during the halloween event.

I'm not having any problem getting YWC from searches, you must be going thru a barren phase and at some point will end up getting 2 a day for a while.

The event aside, at some point ToW would have started getting problematic for anyone that doesn't run 2 or 3 adventures a day, such as myself. I think selecting from a list of all Ali's EXCEPT YWC is the most equitable way to go. We'll always have some followups in star menu, but maybe not always 3 ToW.

I'd have to agree, the Quest chain for the weekly challenges is totally unbalanced and over the top. The provision side for the ship isn't so bad as the adventure and troop delegation side. Seriously? Three ToW's? All while delegating 1,000's of Elite Troops. 3 Storm Recovery's?
Besieged? Which is difficult and costly to obtain and already comes up regularly as a Pathfinder challenge. (Simply a case of BB math gone bad!!)

While I agree with the concept and the fact that the challenges shouldn't be simple. I also think you've overreached what's even mildly acceptable in terms of cost and time at the higher levels. Until there's some reasonable adjustment made on this half of the challenge then I'll be fine with just saying "No" to the weekly challenges.

And enough with the reminders already... tell me once I have an open quest when I log-in. having the weekly remind every five minutes when I'm trying to perform other maintenance is annoying and disruptive.

I'd be good with all except WC. That way you have to work for it, but it's not impossible and poorly thought out, which it is now.

I love the weekly challenges. I'm bummed when I have to do adventures but don't have the one I need to do. I would think it will make many people happy if those hard to find adventures had a higher drop rate when looking for them.
