This is still a good question, 8 days later. Answers are up, but what about winners/prizes?

Surely, they have to review all answers manually. The way that the riddles were written generated a lot of confusion. Also, it was not clear how to submit the answers. Ideally, the answers should have been single words only and a template as how to write the answers should have been provided. It would have been possible to check all answers with a very simple program.
    Whence comest thou?

For what it's worth, I and others had no trouble with the questions, the answers or the instructions for this event. I am not minimizing the frustration of those who had problems but I thought it proper to offer a counterpoint to the complaints. Thank you for providing the scavenger hunt.

A discussion with another player prompted the following suggestion for a new event, inspired by the recent crisis quest: a back-to-school event. In the U.S., the back-to-school season is a significant retail period, second only to Christmas in its fiscal impact to merchants. Hence, the weeks at the end of summer just before children return to school is heavily marketed and almost celebrated as a themed season (akin to halloween or easter).

The event could include a back-to-school book drive where explorers return with books, much like they did in the recent crisis quest. School-related objects like backpacks, pencils, erasers, apples, et. al. could spawn on islands as collectibles, able to be converted in sufficient numbers to manuscripts, tomes and codices via provision houses. A schoolteacher/professor/maestro general could be offered, able to be skilled appropriately. An apple university buff could be offered to double population growth via universities and schoolhouses.

Just a thought. I believe this event could be implemented on existing framework with minimal art rendering and relatively little effort. (Yes, effort itself is relative, of course.) :-)
