Nine years ago today, a group of closed beta players formed the first guild in a little browser game that grew and grew and continues to attract new players. Who knew that when we came together, and excitedly ooohed and ahhhed over the first guild house in all of its magnificence, that the little browser game would become much more than fields, farms, mines, and adventures?
We have watched many guilds come and go, and we've maintained old and dear friendships with some of the other earliest guilds that like us have continued on, and have formed new friendships fostered through the help, trade, and global chat tabs. Each guild has its own style of play, TC's has always been to keep ours strong, fun, active, and to assist others in finding the fun in the game that we do.
Over the years we have had the privilege of watching guild members grow from teenagers into adults, have celebrated marriages, babies coming into the world, graduations from college, moves across the country, relationships dissolved and new ones formed, and the sorrow of players moving from Life into Light.
In the world of online gaming where screen names come and go, we know the people behind the screen names who at first became our friends and now are close family members because of nearly a decade of those shared experiences.
The Creators look forward to another decade in the game, and with The Settlers franchise getting ready to celebrate it's 30th Anniversary, we know that there will be many more years of fun and new content to keep us all here. Thank you BBs for our place in the pixels.
