If you are struggling with the colour of the EOTW map type colour settings in the win 10 search box and you can adjust the colours there. May help a few.

Way to go BB. You aren't even responding to their emails anymore.

Strike 1, automatic out: RED wash over the map hurting eyes according to my guild mates.
Not one person has found an eotw from searches yet.
Most guild mates are NOT going to do many runs, 3 was the highest number I've heard so far.

Reading the comments, not great rewards as well as burning out eyes with red screen? you must be crazy.

exactly -- i managed 7 yesterday w the eye break by working at the same time.. but its a tedious map of like 40 camps. the loot is ridiculously low - marble, a bit of granite... wood.. blah.. 32k xp w/ prem... blah. a complete waste of time. i bought 9.. so was gonna run those.. someone w/a mean sense of humour gifted me 10 more.. i think i will give them away.

This can actually be done with less than 200 troops, almost no losses, if you have the generals (4 YGGS/1R and a handful of first strike for a sac wave - plus a couple of other generals with full xbow). So the barracks upgrade shouldn't really even be an issue.

Surely we should have some sort of feedback/rankings by now?

And in case BB forgot where it goes here is a reminder: https://prnt.sc/10f4bax

I have run the EotW advent twice, in 41 minutes (plat shoes, nav on all gens) using skilled Vargus, 2x skilled Anslem, 2x skilled YGG. No losses.

The way I have Vargus skilled, with 2E, 68C, 125XB, he can kill all the 30/30/100, 30/30/50, 50/100 and 100 camps with no losses. So you can send him up the left side to the top, let him take out every regular camp blocking the leaders and follow with 1R YGG to kill the 50/50 leaders.

Anslem can take out the 40/40/40 camps with no losses. Well, any gen can take those out with small losses, if you want to send three alternate gens up the middle and have small R losses.

I haven't put a lot of effort into figuring out a faster run, but I'm sure with a few R losses or 1R MMA sac waves you could shave 10 minutes or more. I'm using my single Vargus on too many camps.

I do agree a simple quest series for completing 1x EotW, 5x EotW and then 10x EotW with a nice bonus on the 10x one would have made this a more solid mini event. A reddish-tinted version of the frozen manor maybe? That barely requires any effort and the pop density would either seriously help new players (making the challenges of EotW worth repeating) or offer old players something we don't already have, at least in terms of color scheme...

In a few weeks, we are due to begin the Easter event, an even MORE hardcore grind-all-you-can-to-get-that-event-loot type event. So having this be an event where I can comfortably skip it with basically zero loss means I get a break to rest up before Easter comes. I do feel bad for not helping out and basically hurting the few low levels that might actually benefit from this, but I am consoled by the fact that they really aren't losing out on much either.

And no, this is not meant to be sarcasm or some passive-aggressive attempt to make someone feel bad. I am honestly relieved to get a break before Woodcutter-fest begins.
I think you've got the correct spirit for the event. For the past couple of years they've been alternating the big holiday events with smaller events in between, which usually seem to have one or two really nice bundles that they pretty much give away for just a few resources. For this event, getting a new courageous explorer and arch.geo. for a handful of fish seems like a really good deal. If there are any new players who don't have enough storage cap yet to get the bundle, helping them out ought to be the challenge the experienced players focus on for the event to get them geared up for Easter. I wouldn't blame the devs. for not coming up with a fantastic event. They've got enough on their plate and no one is really expecting or wanting something spectacular at the moment anyway.

    Dear Adventurers,

due to unforeseen technical issues, the specialists do not bring back the needed adventures. This is indeed making the whole fight a bit harder, but we are sure you still manage to get the trophies for your fellow settlers and yourself. If you're level 26 and active you will find an in-game mail with 5 of the needed adventures attached to it. Please use them freely to help your friends, guildmates, and the Settlers worldwide. Do not forget this is a worldwide community event to offer a special trophy for those who were not with us in the year 2012 or just want the item!

Furthermore, we will also share some adventure insights with you all soon. This was noted as a "daily" update and for the same technical issues not possible to hold up until now.

This event is the worst thing I have ever seen. A player would get better xp & rewards from compatible level adventures. Plus they would get adventure tales that these are not giving. And at least explorers will bring a player most of the adventures but not this one. I at least have the map fragments to get them from the merchant but not lower level players. Plus that god awful red background strains the eyes so after doing a couple of them you can't take anymore of it. So I guess this is the worst waste of time I've ever seen & there is no incentive for a player to do it. I can complete it easily but lower level players won't waste the troops, time, or resources needed to accomplish it. Thank god easter event is not far off.
