Obsidian ore is in the loot from the Mountain Clan Campaign. Also get a little from Excelsior when "spinning" for Mountain Clan pages. And last but not least, a few of the newer geos will get a tiny bit as bonuses when finding depos.

MC is the fastest route.
Where MCC offers a static drop of around 400 OBS per. Then tripled by event. You are putting in lots of time and effort to get that 1200.
Thing with MC is it is not "just" 150.
It is 4 slots, and tripled loot. Then apply prem.
That is *3*1.5 or 4.5X

Turning 150 into 675 up to 4 slots.
Given enough runs, you will see more than a single slot drop OBS.
Within infinity any potential is inevitable. Understanding this chaos theory makes it not only possible but a matter of time for you to recieve 2700 OBS from a single misty cake.
I can attest I have seen this drop multiple times.
Next to that, .5% chance in a separate slot toward FM or river house.

Fastest possible way to clear MC with no troops is to spend 8 large catapults on all but 1 camp.
Which is the camp with a single unit type where you are to drop AS or WPP.
This instant clears the map within a couple minutes taking you straight to the loot potential.

This forgoes the XP gain potential. But if you just want to spend coin on the map and play the lottery to see if you can get some OBS for your stack MC is more accessible than MCC maps without having to pay crystals. You need only make a proper coin offer in TO.
