    Bookbinder Production Queue

Books are one of the most tedious things to make in Settlers Online. Please add a production queue like many of the other buildings.

    This one I disagree with.

Given the high value of books to early growing players. It is important that you are coming back over and over.
This is a mechanic by devs meant to form that new habit of return in new players.
    Let's not touch that.

But honestly the whole mechanic of timing your glues, which books you make, making a schedule to upkeep books.
Gives you something to do and is a fine challenge to maintain.
If you take on the lazy method then everyone get's the same.
    100% potential of a 24 hour day.
In the current setup you know you can lose time. And the reward goes to those who are efficient.

At a certain point players get set up to Adv bookbinder. In here we are spamming pure codex and will be getting +1every 2 days or fasted depending on how many you own.
Then we look at excel recipes.
We have mass Manu in RPH at the cost of paper and beans.
Both inputs are covered by paper and retreats being beneath LT, as well as hitting proper adventure loots.

This easily feeds you "too many" manus. Which affords the input of tome.
    6:1 manus.
150 manu and 2500 beanstalk to produce 25 tomes within 9d9h 0 buffs.
Add in all the proper buffs and this drops down. We are in such excess the timing is unimportant.
What is important is are we making more books than we are using?
    Yes.
We produce books faster than units are released and there are no other reasonable book expenses within game.

It comes down to bookbinder being outright useless and destroyed where books are now covered in RPH and adv bookbinder.
This puts use to all of your adv snippets you collect naturally.
Allows you to forget about making codex with a 1 year long queue.
Then in RPH the only costs we are putting up is for manu and tome as our leisure.
Done in the exact style you are asking for.

There is no reason to turn bookbinder into a slower RPH. Just remove your bookbinder and move onto the advanced mechanics that is second generation book production.
I am currently holding 263 codex 360 tomes and over 1200 manus.
I cannot naturally spend them at the rate units are released in game.
I full tech everything instantly and it doesn't even touch my pile.
This is excess already in place.

What is out of touch is T3 Museum buff calling for 500 manus to pump up weapon production.
We don't spend units, why do we need weapons?
I am all for spending books on a buff. But 500? not 50? Even 50 is like.. why?
If I could convert books to buy AS I would be a happy boy.
That would at least be taking books which are basically a dead resource to me.
And turn them to AS which are used in farming DB to create oilseed == gems.

In that I could justify turning beans to books to as to oilseed to crystal shards to crystals to gems. I'm good with this proposition.
But that'd be too useful I guess.
That's now what we do here.

    As is bookbinder is fine.
Low level players do not get to use PFB often. And if they do, they are rewarded for putting on the strongest glue and being active during an event.
I prefer that to allowing players to set up another queue and log off.
We need players actually here. Playing.

This is all without mentioning geo book production through Dili, GB, Arch.
On repeated searches supported through sugar rush, BT pollen, museum.
You are meant to use this mechanic and produce books by being online being in the game and being active.

    The current system works great.
If you log in and play the game you have stuff.
Only the lazy ppl who don't even bother to actually play lack resources.
And all they need to do is step up and try. Book are overly available.

this has been asked before many times since it was released back in like 2015. quite frankly, i doubt this ever will see any change, the manpower of one person recoding one aspect is totally out of the question when no ones working. (that or the errors to follow).

The bookbinder is one old aspect never to get improved on, its progression and costs kind of guided the original book production release back when you had at most 10/20 specialy generals, explorers, geos, before they slung the now 200+ explorers, generals, and whatever geo's. For a newer person gradually gaining levels fresh now, its workable... though i tend to agree a queue on it, should have been a QoL improvement as we can queue rarity provision, and adventurer book binder infinitely.
i havn't used this building in years, when i did, it was only doing tomes/codex, but i now exclusively skip this garbage and use adventure book binder instead.

once you get rarity house and unlock the manuscript recipe around level 56, you just pound out infinite manu's and use bookbinder/adv bb for the tome/codex.

hell, by now most people have enough christmas trees, lanterns, geos find w/ treasure, explorer treasure, book tributes, that you can get plenty without effort :X

Keeping books tedious for new players to make is not helping the population "nor resulting in them coming back over and over," just look around, very few are playing. There's a lot of quality of life gameplay issues like this that make the game overly tedious, improving them actually would help.
